- Monkey & Bearself-initiated redesign of Joanna Newsom's album Ys
- My goal for this project was the creation of a narrative pattern which incorporates elements of a story in a way that allows the viewer to spend time searching within the design and making discoveries. Joanna Newsom's album Ys is richly lyrical and narrative, so I chose to illustrate the ten-minute long song "Monkey & Bear" in the format of a CD cover. I also altered the color palette and composition to create a decorative pattern that does not have to be associated with the musical content to be appreciated.
