Najds & Hijadzes arabian coffee is a personal project for an imaginary brand that I have developed from the start. The name comes from a traditional coffee brewing method that is common in Najd (literally Highland, central region of the Arabian Peninsula) and Hijaz (region in the west of present-day Saudi Arabia), which includes flavoring the coffee with 4 spices: cardamom, cinnamon, clove, and saffron (to give it a golden color). This traditional method uses coffee beans that are not roasted, so it is a beverage entirely unlike what most people think of as coffee. An interesting fact is that arabian coffee is believed to be the first species of coffee
to be cultivated, being grown in southwest Arabia for well over 1,000 years.
